TAAST (The Annual All-College Spring Thing) is a week-long annual tradition in the College of Architecture and Design and is filled with fun events and lectures. TAAST is always student-run and I had the opportunity to create graphics for the 50th anniversary.
The challenge was to create visual impact and curiosity for an online event during times of immense stress and grief. I chose to create an image that induced escapism while still relating to our state of human interactions. Our theme “In the Cloud(s),” encapsulates this idea as we held events that were relaxing while celebrating interdisciplinary designers through lectures. I asked Isometric Studio, a Brooklyn-based interdisciplinary graphic design studio, to come and speak and they were kind enough to give the college a wonderful, insightful lecture.
